About Me

Biranchi Sahu

Artist & Photographer

From an early age, creativity has been my greatest passion. Whether it was painting, crafting, or exploring different artistic forms, the thrill of creating something unique always fascinated me. Art has been my soul’s true calling; it inspires, drives me, and gives meaning to my journey.

Hello, I’m Biranchi Sahu, an artist at heart and a photographer by profession. My love for art, leading me to professional training in fine art and photography at the Govt. college of art & craft’s, Khallikote in the year 1994. Over time, my artistic journey transitioned into photography, a medium where I could blend my creativity with technical expertise.

Photography became a defining chapter in my creative exploration, allowing me to tell stories and express emotions through visuals. Capturing the essence of people, places, nature, and wildlife opened my eyes to a whole new perspective, turning my childhood dreams into reality.

My deep understanding of composition, lighting, and aesthetics, honed through fine arts, gives me an edge in photography. I don’t just capture moments; I craft them with an artistic vision. Whether it's the delicate beauty of maternity shoots, the innocence of newborns, the vibrancy of weddings, or the professionalism of corporate events, I bring a unique perspective to every frame.

Photography is not just my career it is my passion, my inner calling. Every click of the shutter is an expression of art, and every frame tells a story. Through my lens, I strive to turn fleeting moments into timeless memories.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Applied Art (1999) and a Master of Visual Art with a specialization in Animation and Graphic Design from Utkal University of Culture (2008). Currently, I’m pursuing my Ph.D. from Utkal University of Culture. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with fellow artists in various fields such as Dhokra & Bell metal craft, Pattachitra, Applique craft, and mask and toy crafts of Odisha.

wildlife photography

As a wildlife photographer, I have always been captivated by the beauty and mystique of animals and birds. My journey began in the wild forests and open skies, where I immersed myself in the art of capturing nature’s untold stories. From the smallest bird perched on a branch to the mighty animals roaming freely, I aim to capture their spirit in every shot.
